Reading a book while drinking wine is a natural and rewarding pleasure. This evening is dedicated to sharing wine, as well as passages from some of our favourite writers’ thoughts on the subject. We’ll supply the sips and Richard will lead the discussion with some of his most beloved wine-soaked readings.

Many of the world’s great wines have become financially unviable to most of us. For example, if you’ve recently fallen in love with Burgundy, Brunello di Montalcino or Napa Valley, then hopefully you’re as satisfied reading about wine as you are drinking it! This tasting is an opportunity to experience a flight of wines that might otherwise remain in the realm of curiosity and daydreams. Iconic vineyards, celebrated winegrowers and scarcity of supply will be common themes amongst the bottles being poured.
